FESTILITT IS (nearly) HERE!

“Wherever I am, if I’ve got a book with me, I have a place I can go and be happy.”— J.K. Rowling.

We hope that you will be with us, in Parisot next weekend, October 11, 12 and 13.

Friday the 11th is for budding writers: Festilitt Kids

Saturday 12 and Sunday 13:

On the English side: M.L. Longworth is first off the starting block with the story of a theft at the Musée d’Aix-En-Provence; Melanie Cantor visits the complexities of modern feminine life; Matthew Parker explores the nature of the British Empire at the summit of its power, Nicolas Padamsee takes us inside the mind of a troubled young man and Sunjeev Sahota unravels the story of an extraordinary destiny.

On the French side: Jean Poderos opens the festival by describing his work as a publisher; Catherine Bernard combines vine and poetic writing; Alain Monnier immerses us in an Italian family family who emigrated to Occitania; Leonor De Recondo revisits Vivaldi’s Venice; Violaine Bérot explores her innermost landscape as a mountain shepherdess.

All together, Saturday at 4pm, an exceptional bilingual musical reading of “Eloge du bon vin” by Compagnie du Rêveur, followed by a tasting of the elixir of the gods.

And let’s not forget the artists’ exhibition, our very own Joff‘s impromptu pencil strokes, Saturday lunch, the Saturday evening literary dinner, the Authors’Choice coffee break, and all the gourmet breaks between sessions.

Full details of the authors and practical information are available on the website, and a paper programme will be distributed on arrival.

This weekend, Parisot will be the place to “go and be happy”. It’s free, stimulating and convivial. Hurry up and get with the programme! We look forward to seeing you…
